Jersey

It's a beautiful little Island just off the French coast, British Crown territory but separate from the United Kingdom. It was the only part of Britain occupied by the Germans during WW2.

A view across St Aubin's Fort on a wintery day.

The Beach at Havre-des-Pas Christmas Day 1997

A view from the roadside at Noirmont. This was taken after the Victoria College cross-country race  1999.

The Lighthouse at Corbiere, on the south-western tip of the island. This is my favourite spot on the Island.

Elizabeth Castle, joined to the main mass of Jersey by a causeway which is covered every high tide.
Wheeled boats called puddle-ducks take visitors out to the Castle during the summer months.

A view from Corbiere, north along the West Coast of Jersey - St Ouen's Bay - a beach about 4 miles long.

This is a small stretch of the Corbiere Walk - it runs from St Aubin along a disused railway line to Corbiere, coming out just above the Lighthouse. It is a beautiful walk or cycle.
